Corn Production

Justification

In 2007, Minnesota ranked fifth in the nation for corn production, harvesting over 8.2 million acres. Maximizing the profitability of corn production, as well as practicing environmentally-sound management practices, is a priority with all corn producers in the state. Although there is a vast amount of information on corn production, the University of Minnesota Extension Service stands out as a source of research-based, non-biased information and recommendations. Producers and Agricultural Professionals value the Extension Service Corn program for this reason.
