Research Interests and Plans:
-Molecular genetic and genomic analysis of wheat disease resistance and susceptibility.
-Genetic, molecular and biochemical analysis of nutritional value of crops, with a focus on modifying composition to improve human health.
-Development of Brachypodium distachyon as a model system for grass genomics research.
-Coordination of regional spring wheat performance and Fusarium head blight nurseries.
-Molecular biology of abiotic stress tolerance, including acid soils tolerance and nutrient deficiency responses.
