Research and education; barley genetics and breeding.Ph.D.: University of Wisconsin (1997) Year Appointed: 1998 Rank: Assistant Professor Primary Responsibilities: Research and education; barley breeding and genetics. Professional Interests and Responsibilities: I am responsible for directing research in barley genetics and managing the barley breeding program. My research interests are in genetics of complex traits and the application of genetics and genomics to crop improvement. I have had a specific emphases in the genetics of disease resistance and malting quality.
