Location: Cargill Building, University of MN St. Paul Campus
Come join us and learn about what is happening in barley research at the U. We will also include a look at the new hop yard on campus. This event will allow you to hear from UM barley scientists, see research plots, and participate in hands-on activities. All followed by delicious barley (and other) refreshments and a chance to socialize.
This event is FREE to attend. Please register to assist us in planning.
Parking and Tour Details:
Free parking is available along Gortner Avenue just south of Larpenteur. Look for the Barley Sign. Then walk South along Gortner Ave (about 5 minutes) to reach the Cargill Building (1500 Gortner Ave.).
NOTE: Due to construction on Cleveland Ave., this event is only accessible by turning south onto Gortner Ave. off of Larpenteur Ave.
We will start and end the day at the Cargill Building and use field wagons to visit the fields. The field tour will involve little walking but stairs are used to access the field wagons. Please email Karen Beaubien ([email protected]) if you would like to visit the field plots without using the field wagons.
