APG seminar with Lisa Ainsworth is canceled

Lisa Ainsworth of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign will present "Optimizing soybeans for improved photosynthesis in current and future atmospheres" Thursday, January 29, at 2:30 p.m. in 105 Cargill. The talks is part of the APG Seminar Series.

Ainsworth is the Charles Adlai Ewing Chair of Crop Physiology in the Department of Crop Sciences and the Department of Plant Biology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She received her BS in biology at UCLA and PhD in Crop Sciences from the University of Illinois. Her research addresses crop responses to climate change and tests potential solutions for mitigation of climate change through agriculture. Lisa is a fellow of the American Association of the Advancement of Sciences, was awarded the National Academy of Sciences Prize in Food and Agricultural Sciences in 2019, and was an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences in 2020.
