Plant Breeding Center
The Plant Breeding Center serves as a hub for leveraging Minnesota strengths in plant breeding research, varietal development, and graduate education. The Plant Breeding Center elevates plant improvement in Minnesota and beyond.
Community Plant Breeding Team
The Community Plant Breeding Team (CPBT), a student-led plant breeding initiative on adapting leafy African vegetables to Minnesota, was formed in 2021. The CPBT uses a participatory plant breeding approach to involve local African growers in the breeding process and give students and researchers hands-on experience in plant breeding and community engagement.
Soybean Research Center
The Soybean Research Center, established in 2020, brings exceptional researchers together across departments to collaborate on projects that improve soybeans for Minnesota growers and industries across the supply chain.
MN CropCast
Hosts David Nicolai and Seth Naeve discuss the progress and challenges of Minnesota's agronomic crops. Each week, they are joined by a diversity of specialists representing all crops and agronomic disciplines.
Forever Green Initiative
The Forever Green Initiative is developing and improving winter-hardy annual and perennial crops that protect soil and water while driving new economic opportunities for growers, industry, and communities across Minnesota.
