Welcome to Assistant Professor Jeff Liebert who joined the APG faculty August 24.
Dr. Liebert received his BSc from the University of British Columbia in 2012 and an MSc (2016) and PhD (2022) from Cornell University. His areas of interest include agroecology, diversified farming systems, evidence synthesis, mixed methods, multifunctionality, participatory action research, rural sociology, and social-ecological systems.
In fall 2027, he will teach courses in agroecology. Now, his focus is setting up his lab, which will conduct collaborative agroecological research with farmers, NGOs, and other partners to help build agri-food systems that are more multifunctional and just, systems that support diverse rural livelihoods alongside ecological resilience and social well-being.
