Andrew Read

Andy is a research scientist looking into the genetics that underlie stress tolerance in wheat and oat, especially as it pertains to the diseases Fusarium Head Blight and Bacterial Leaf Streak. His background is in molecular plant-microbe interactions and transposon biology. Outside of work, Andy is an extremely novice birder, a cinemaphile, and a perpetual blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
